NHV cements Kinsale contract in Celtic Sea
In a month's time, NHV intends to have established a fully operational base in Cork, Ireland. It will be able to support PSE Kinsale Energy from the site, as it works to decommission gas operations 50km off the coast.
The AW139 has consistently proved its effectiveness.

Belgian B2B helicopter provider NHV Group has entered into a new contract with PSE Kinsale Energy in support of its decommissioning of gas production operations in the Celtic Sea. The transfer flights towards the Stena Spey drilling rig, about 50 km off the south coast of Cork, are expected to start in April 2021 for a duration of six to eight months. NHV Denmark will be carrying out the contract.

The agreement includes the provision of one dedicated Leonardo AW139 aircraft. The medium-sized twin-engine AW139 has proven to be successful and has reliably secured its role in NHV's fleet and the world of helicopter operations.

NHV MD Lars Skov comments: “We are delighted to be partnering with Kinsale on this project and feel confident that its offshore workforce will appreciate our passion for safe and reliable operations. I am also proud that within a month's time, our team has established a fully operational base in Cork. A solid proof of the agility, flexibility and adaptability that have always been present in NHV's DNA.”

NHV CEO Steffen Bay adds: “The award of this contract demonstrates the importance of our strategy of operating a diverse and modern fleet in our offshore operations. We are looking forward to proving our new partner that NHV was the right choice for this unique project.”
